oh, has it really been a month?

Do you like my new blog banner and background? They have been made exclusively by Rhonna at House of 3 for DAM. I got to interview the House of 3 girls for the latest issue. What a thrill, I love their style, in fact it was Rhonna's work that first led me to digital. Anyway, the issue should be out now.

I am short on time, but I will be back tomorrow with my family's favourite dessert and some holiday snaps.

Lots going on right now. Firstly to all my friends in the US, I hope you are having a great 4th July weekend! I wish I was there celebrating with you.

New issue of DAM was out last week and boy it's a good one. I am loving the new fresh look and the content in the articles and layouts is inspiring. Go get your copy... and keep an eye out for news from DAM soon.

Exciting news to share.... I have a new blinkie!!

yyyyy I am so excited to have been chosen for the site CT at Shabby Pickle Designs! What a dream gig. I did try out when the site first opened and almost didn't this time. I love all the designers there!

Some other personal stuff: I have decided to try out for the Scrapbooking Memories Masters competition this year. I am sure I don't have a chance of winning, but an Honorable Mention would be nice. I just hope I get everything done, I have no clue what to do for the off the page project.

And in 4 days we are going on vacation!! We are driving up to the Gold Coast on Friday and will spend a week relaxing by the pool and hitting the theme parks. I am so excited for all of us, but especially for the kids. It should be fun, we are staying here.

Wow, what a thrill to see my very own pages made into templates. A while back Amy Martin asked all the pollywogs if they were OK with the idea of having our pages made into templates. Of course we all said yes and this week is my turn with the amazing Kristin Tilley!

This has to be my most favorite digital product EVER. Tracy Ann's signiture swirl, the one on the site available for us all!

I have used these swirls a few times. Here are 2 layouts with them:

In the first layout I did something a little different with the swirls. I lightened them to white and added a red stroke to match the red in the layout. I love the way it turned out and I am sure I will be using this technique again.

a little late, but...

Today is the last day of autumn break here and tomorrow the children go back to school. I love having the kids home, but I am happy to get back to a little more structured routine. We had a great break, had my parents here over Easter, then they took the kids to their place for a whole week. Steve and I had a staycation and it was wonderful, like a second honeymoon.

some paper scrapping

Last weekend I got some paper scrapping done! I really miss it, but couldn't give up digi. The lovely ladies at Scrapping With Soul put on the most amazing scrap days and the food is out of this world - I really need that white chocolate panacotta with Frangelico grapes recipe.
